There is a bank from the edge of the back yard to the septic leach field.  This 175-ft long 20-degree slope faces true south and begs to be covered with solar panels.  We've installed a 300 watt photovoltaic system on our RV, but Pete has for many years wanted to build a larger scale system for our house.  Now, for the first time, we have the setting, the means, and the opportunity to construct a photovoltaic generating plant that will deliver this home's entire energy budget.  Pete tells the story that started in the early weeks of 2001.
